When tiny tasks begin to add up…

Quick context: Recently I’ve been sharing about how we’re rebuilding everything from the ground up.

This week? We started seeing it all come together…

The Map & Make Sprint Experiment

This week we ran our first Map & Make Sprint – and wow, what an experiment in community building this turned out to be.

Instead of another “workshop” where people sit back and watch, we created a dedicated space for action takers.

7-days of mapping, building, and launching automations together.

The commitment from each attendee was 60-90 minutes per day. At their own convenient time.

Plus we had rewards systems to ensure only those who were participating stayed in the group. Anyone not earning points was removed halfway through.

We’re still in the middle of it but I’m seeing some great progress with members creating epic automations like:

  • One member is building an entire client proposal workflow that automatically creates custom SOWs based on discovery calls
  • Another created a social media system that pulls posts together into a single system and automates the posting
  • Someone even mapped out a project management automation that tracks team capacity and automatically redistributes tasks saving up to 4 hours per project.

I couldn’t help myself – I jumped in and built a workflow to help us run these sprints more efficiently each month.

Think automated marketing materials, and implementation support all streamlined into one system.

(Honestly, this alone will probably save us 10 hours per sprint going forward).

The Unsexy But Critical Progress

But here’s where the real work happened this week…

We’ve been tackling all those tiny, frustrating tasks that pile up when you move too fast. You know the ones – they keep you up at night but never feel urgent enough to fix.

First up: The Onboarding Mess

Our current onboarding flow? It works, but it’s held together with digital duct tape. We’ve got:

  • Members having to jump between platforms
  • The thank you page is just a single page with all information
  • There’s no way to learn what our clients want when they enter the community

The new flow we’re building changes all that.

A complete step by step onboarding sequence.

It allows us to learn who each client is and what they really want. It provides them with an easy to follow solution to join the community.

It’s the kind of system I wish we’d built from day one.

And it should be live next week!

The Done-For-You Evolution

Remember how I mentioned some people don’t want to build themselves? We listened.

Next week we’re launching a done-for-you installation service for Content Automation OS. We’ll:

  • Set up all the base automations
  • Configure each specific workflows
  • Handle all the technical headaches

We actually did this in the early days and it worked quite well. Excited to bring it back.

The Missing Piece: Strategic Audits

The biggest realization this week? Many businesses don’t know where to start with AI automation.

So we mapped out a completely new audit system that helps brands:

  • Identify their highest-impact automation opportunities
  • Calculate potential ROI before building anything
  • Create a strategic roadmap for implementation
  • Prioritize what to build first

This was the piece we were missing – the bridge between “I know I need automation” and “I know exactly what to build first.”

Putting It All Together

For the first time since our pivot, everything feels aligned:

  • Education through the membership
  • Done-for-you services for those who need it
  • Strategic guidance for larger brands
  • And community-driven building sessions for action takers

The best part?

Now that these systems are in place, I can get back to what I actually enjoy – creating content that helps you and working directly with customers who are ready to transform their businesses.

Sometimes you have to slow down to speed up.

Keep building,
Mitch

P.S. Want to join us for the next Map & Make Sprint? It’s included in the membership…just saying 😉
