I love WordPress for building websites, but they missed a crucial step that cost them billions: optimizing their User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX)….The truth, is people love online experiences that pretty, easy to use, and intuitive. WordPress is the exact opposite of that. I believe that WordPress’s failure to enhance its UI and UX paved the way for other platforms to emerge and dominate the niches WordPress once ruled. Course platforms like Kajabi. eCommerce platforms like Shopify. Funnel platforms like Click Funnels. They all created billion dollar brands with products that are 10x the price with 10% of the functionality of WordPress. Designing a salespage on Kajabi today is like using WordPress in 2015. However, what truly set these platforms apart was their significant advancements in UI and UX. Recognizing the crucial role of UI and UX, I’ve centered this week’s efforts on refining these aspects for my upcoming product, Digital Product OS. Here’s an inside look… TL;DR
Focusing Product UI & UXAs you know, I’ve been building AI automations this year using tools like Airtable and Make.com My first product (that over 500 people have purchased) was for content management and automation. Here’s an example of one of the dashboards.
It works fine for me. It’s intuitive for me. But that’s because I built it. Turns out that when other people used it they didn’t really think the same. That’s why we’ve had 3 more version releases since. But even with those improvements it’s still “a lot” for someone to get used to when they first begin. I wanted to solve that for my next product. And while it’s not completed yet, it’s looking much better.
This product will help people launch digital courses, workshops and products in a structured way — powered by AI. As you can see, instead of simply using tables to create and plan all of the work — I’ve gone the extra mile to create interfaces for each step. Since the Airtable interface feature is limited with what you can do there are many more improvements that could be made. But where it stands right now, it’s still way better than the first product! There are 3 core reasons to focus more on UI & UX with your products:
Imagine the difference in my upcoming YouTube videos featuring this product and showcasing this interface over a bunch of confusing tables. Now, I could take this to another level and build an entire custom interface for this product and create a SaaS tool, but then that defeats the whole idea of AI automations in the first place. So the lesson for this week as I continue to prepare BigMoves.io for launch is that UI & UX matters. Not just in product creation but in every pillar of your business. It’s also the reason why I’ve invested heavily already into the design and structure of the website before we’ve even launched. The future is ripe for those agile enough to leverage AI without sacrificing quality. Let’s make it happen! P.S. I’m still looking to speak with AI Automation Builders. I have 4 product ideas that I am happy to give to others. These ideas I know will sell! While I could keep them for myself, I’d prefer to give them to those who are ready to build right now. I just don’t have the time. These are the 4 product ideas I have:
I’m ready to hand over four promising product ideas to builders eager to start immediately. These are vetted concepts guaranteed to make an impact. If you’re ready to dive in, let’s connect! |
