πŸ“ˆ This is where we’re going with AI Automation

In this newsletter I’m going to share how Automation and AI can significantly increase efficiency and reduce costs in your business.

20% improvement in efficiency is easily achievable

50% improvement in efficiency is highly likely

Up to 80% improvement in efficiency could be available to some.

Or in other words, instead of your and your team working 40 hours per week, you work 8 hours. And still achieve the same results.

The more time I spend in mad scientist mode, automating my workflows, understanding different API’s and their potential…

The more I’m convinced that this where the world’s heading.

Here’s a typical scenario for a 7-figure company now…

Depending on the business type, there could be more teams involved, but let’s keep it simple.

A new project or campaign is started with a team meeting

The marketing team go off, spend a few weeks preparing all of the marketing materials ready to deploy

The operations and project team setup the spreadsheets, or project management tools to keep everyone on track to timelines and liaise with any other vendors

This is the β€˜typical’ way of doing business. Each team may have some of their own templates, AI prompts and best practises they begin from.

The first check-in to make sure everyone is on track is typically about a week later.

Then finally, the delivered assets are provided by the deadline a few weeks after that.

Here’s the NEW scenario that’s possible RIGHT NOW:

A new campaign is started with a team meeting

The marketing team complete a customized form during the meeting

The operations team complete a customized form, too!

At the end of the meeting, they submit their forms.

Then…

Here’s the sexy bit…

Within 10 minutes the marketing team have 80% of their work completed for them.

Website copy – done!

Website graphics – done!

Promotional Emails – done!

Dozens of Ad copy variations – done!

Dozens of Social media copy variations – done!

AI Generated images – done!

Within 10 minutes the project and operations team has 60% of their work done…

Project management template duplicated and ready to go with the correct timelines – done!

Spreadsheets with project information in it – done!

Emails drafted to send to vendors – done!

The list can go on…

Depending on the size of the team, this type of automation may have just saved the business $2,000+ in wages.

The cost of the tools to deploy this automation?

Easily less than $30.

But not only that, now the only tasks left to do for the team are to get the final 20-40% of the project completed. What used to take 3-4 weeks can now get done in 3-4 days.

Let’s say you do 6 big campaigns per year to grow your business doing it the old way.

Well…

Since you and your team are no longer spending 3-4 weeks on a project, you can now easily double your output!

Which means YOU’VE JUST DOUBLED YOUR BUSINESS WITHOUT INCREASING ANY COSTS!!!

You might be thinking…

β€œYeh, sure Mitch, if that was true why isn’t everyone doing it”.

Big tech are laying off thousands of people. Not because they’re scaling back but because these are the types of automations they’re building into their own workflows.

They have the technical capabilities and the expertise to craft customized workflows.

Most SMB’s have no idea what’s even possible.

Let me reframe it in an easier way to understand.

Think of your business operations as competing in a high-stakes relay race, where each team member passes the baton to the next.

Right now, it’s as if each runner has to navigate obstacles and hurdles, slowing them down considerably and exhausting them before they even reach the finish line.

With automation and AI, it’s like removing those hurdles and giving each runner a smooth, straight track.

They sprint effortlessly, passing the baton seamlessly, finishing the race in record time without breaking a sweat.

This is the edge automation offersβ€”turning a potentially exhausting race full of obstacles into a streamlined path.

Real World Examples

To ground this in some reality, here are a few examples of simple automations I’ve been building for my own brand and clients:

This is partly built.

I take my newsletter and create 20 subject line variations

Get a report on if it follows my ideal writing structure

It then provides me with 40+ social media posts to choose from based on proven templates.

Soon I’ll add a planning stage that helps me record and summarize latest news, and provide a list of topics I should write about that fit in with my audience.

As well as an image generator for the social posts and a scheduler once they’re approved.

Or this one, the YouTube Operating System.

Also, partly built.
(I seem to have all partly built systems – my ADHD brain gets over excited and keeps starting new projects)

It takes a YouTube video and creates Title variations to test

It provides variations of YouTube Thumbnail copy to test

It provides a full description with timestamps, and hashtags

It then turns it into a blog post so I can publish it on the website

Then it prepares a promotional email ready to send to the database

It creates dozens of social media content posts that I can now choose from

And finally, it creates a bunch of hook ideas for reels to promote this content

Soon, I’ll add scripting ideas, idea collation, news alerts, thumbnail generator and scheduler.

We’ve done the same for podcasts, and any type of funnel we frequently build.

Every automation already saves at least 30% of my time and they’re not completed or optimized yet.

The punchline is this…

We’re in a time right now where the boundaries of what’s possible in business are being completely redrawn.

The narrative that it takes a huge team to build a successful business is quickly becoming a thing of the past.

Automations and AI, when leveraged correctly, can produce work of a higher quality than most employees, most agencies, and most contractors.

The opportunity to do things faster, exactly how we want them done, is at our fingertips.

The best part? It’s rare that small and medium-sized businesses also have access to the same powerful tools that were once the exclusive domain of tech giants.

This levelling of the playing field means that the only limits to what we can achieve are those we place on ourselves.

So, I challenge you to think differently about how you run your business. Explore the potential of automations and AI.

With the right mindset and tools, building a 1-person, 7 or even 8-figure business is absolutely possible.
